After receiving her J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1988, Amy joined the firm of Cohen, Shapiro, Polisher, Sheikman and Cohen, providing services to clients in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Amy deepened her practice in estate planning and administration when she joined Erskine, Wolfson and Gibbon as well as aquired her L.L.M. in Taxation from Temple University. She opened her own practice in 1995.
Amy has published in law journals and received honors and awards. She speaks on estate issues, most recently on “Oddities and Challenges in Probate Law,” “Schedules K and M of the Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax Return” and “Estate Planning for Unmarried and Same-sex Couples.”
Amy serves on the Board of of the LGBT Elder Initiative, a Philadelphia-based non-profit that advocates for LGBTQ elders. She co-chairs the communications committee and serves as the Secretary of the Board and Executive Committee.
Amy also holds a Master of Social Work from Temple University and a B.A. in History from Guilford College.
